Saturday, May 10: Training session for all Sunday School
teachers, helpers and anyone who is interested in teaching the Bible. Dr. Chuck
Lawless will lead the training from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Library. Breakfast
will be at 8:30 am. Please RSVP to Helen Gee. All Sunday School teachers, assistants and
helpers should plan to attend his very special training.

Saturday, May 17: The FHLove Mandarin Fellowship will be
hosting a Spring Outing from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at Seawolf Park in Galveston.
Activities include picnic, group games, playground, fishing, and touring of the military
fleet. Admission fee is $5 per vehicle. The cost for members 13 and up is $4, children
$2 and free for guests. Registration starts now through Sunday, May 11. Please

Sunday, May 18: Ministry Fair: Looking for a way to
serve? Ever wonder what opportunities there are at CBC? You're in luck! CBC will
be holding a Ministry Fair from 12:30-1:30 pm in the FLC. You will have an opportunity
to talk to representatives of the many committees and ministries at CBC to learn
how to best utilize your gifts. Mark your calendar!

Sunday, May 25: Business Meeting to vote on proposed Amendment #3 and #4 regarding
Membership and the Church Council, respectively and to solicit At-Large nominations, if Amendment #4 is adopted.
June 1-6: Rainbow Trip:
6-day trip to Atlanta; Charlotte, NC; Huntsville, AL; and New Orleans. Highlights of
the tour include the Billy Graham Library and Learning Center, Daniel Stowe Botanical

June 17-24: Saipan Mission Trip: Missions
Committee is sponsoring a mission trip to Saipan this summer. The focus will be
evangelism to Mandarin-speaking textile workers. Information can be obtained
by contacting Mabel Ligh. Deadline for signing up is Feb. 15.
June 23-27: Vacation Bible School
Blast Off With Us on a thrilling space voyage through Cosmic City, where we'll learn
about the awesome wonders of God! Registration begins Sunday 5/25 - 6/22 (except 6/15: Father's Day)
12:30-1:00 pm in the Family Life Center or Mail/Fax the registration
to CBC.
