Church-wide Prayer Meetings & Lunch Schedule Modification in 2024

Posted January 20, 2024

It’s clear that prayer meetings were the preferred vehicle of change of the powerful early church. Whenever the church needed the Spirit’s power for evangelism, or faced persecution, or sought to free captives, they gathered for a prayer meeting - their first and only one response. Prayer meetings changed the world! CBC desires to be a praying church, to experience and grow in Spirit-led, Scripture-fed, and life-giving prayer meetings described in the book of Acts.

  • In this new year of 2024, pastoral staff is calling everyone to gather and pray on the 1st Sunday of every month, beginning on March 3rd from 12:30 - 1:00 pm in the Worship Center, in place of the lunch fellowship. May we strive to be in God’s presence first and foremost.
  • Lunch Fellowship will take place for the remaining Sundays of each month, except holidays. Service Rotation has been assigned. Please take note in providing 4-5 people per SS class slot to serve lunches and wash dishes (we still need a total of 8-9 per week).

Beware of Scam Emails Posing as Pastor Donald Gardner

Posted December 21, 2023

Please be aware that various phishing email senders have been posing as Pastor Donald Gardner, our new Senior Pastor, via email recently. Always remember to check if the sender is from his/her actual email address. Do NOT ever give out any personal information or click on any links. Scammers often pretend to be someone you know and make “urgent” requests for a person to buy them gift cards, send money or provide other personal information. Always confirm with the person you know before acting on any out-of-the-ordinary requests. Thank you! For more information, visit this PDF Guide on how to reduce Gmail Spam.

IMPORTANT CHURCH SAFETY NOTICE

Posted November 24, 2023

There have recently been various instances of members/visitors propping open entrance doors and leaving them wide open on Friday evenings or other days of the week. Please take care NOT TO PROP OPEN DOORS to any entrances of CBC on any day of the week. Fellowship/ministry groups need to take responsibility for their particular event by stationing someone at the entrance to let people in. Please also remember to RE-SCRAMBLE the lock pad code on the key lock box after using the key to open a door at CBC. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our church safe for all parties involved!
