• Crossroads
  
  
  
  Crossroads is a group at CBC for the single adult, male or female, who is 35 or more years old, with a wealth of life experiences to share.

  The Crossroads Bible Study meets on the first Sunday of each month from 1 - 2 PM in room 240 of the CBC Education Bldg. Everyone is invited to attend. For more information, please email cbc_crossroads@yahoo.com
  
  
  

• Empty Nester Home Fellowship
  
  Empty Nester Home Fellowship started as a Deacon Ministry in 1999. It is part of the "Small Group with Children in College or on their Own" category. The husbands in this group are not retired and are less than 70 years of age.

  The Charter Members are: Henry & Donna Wong (Facilitators) Gene & Linda Woo Chung & Lilyan Gee Onne & Mary Jeu Jim & Marie Gor

  The Home Fellowship is scheduled on the third Saturday of every month, from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Each couple takes turn hosting the fellowship meeting.

  The Home Fellowship schedule is as follow:
  

  6:00 - 6:30 pm	Fellowship
  6:30 - 7:30 pm	Dinner
  7:30 - 8:00 pm	Praise Singing & Sharing
  8:00 - 9:00 pm	Bible Study
  9:00 - 9:30 pm	Dessert

  Current Members are: Henry & Donna Wong, Paul & Sandra Fong, Steven & Sharon Eng, Leland & Ann Fan, and Caleb & Fannie Hung.

  The Lord has blessed this small group. In year 2005, the Empty Nester Home Fellowship has grown from 5 couples to 11 couples. This year, Gene and Linda Woo is heading the new group, S.A.F.E.





• Joy Fellowship   喜樂團契

The goal of this fellowship is to reach out to non-believers.

The fellowship meets two times a month:

• Usually on the 2nd Saturday each month in Sugarland area; the location is rotated between member's homes.
• Every 4th Friday each month for bible study at CBC.

Activities include a potluck dinner, an invited speaker, time of sharing, praise singing and bible study.

• Men's Ministry


Leaders: Sherman Yeang and James Moy

Men's Ministry will be starting a new DVD series called "The Quest for Authentic Manhood" by Men's Fraternity and "Search for a Man's Core Identity" by Robert Lewis. Please sign up on the Men's Ministry Board. Starting date: Oct. 24 at 7:00 pm. The cost is $10 for a workbook. (added on 10/08/07)





• Northwest Home Fellowship

This Fellowship is designed for adults in Northwest Houston who desire a place to find community and fellowship with other believers. We seek to encourage one another in our walk with Christ through worship, Bible study, prayer and fellowship (Hebrews 10:24-25).

The Fellowship meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. Breaks are taken for Christmas and the summer.

• PULSE


PULSE is a High School Fellowship

PULSE is for High Schoolers and their friends to come and find community in a large group setting of High Schoolers and deep relationships with a small group of High Schoolers and a leader to support one another in our own walks with God. There will be time for large group games, worship and small groups which will be with the same leader and people every week.

This group meets in weekly small groups and is open for all High Schoolers whose hearts beat for God. "In Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28)."

Every other month, there will be:

• a large group High School activity
• a hangout time just for the small group to hang out and do something fun
• a Saturday in which we help tutor kids in the Chinatown area

• S.A.F.E. (Spiritual Ambassador Fellowship Encouragers


The main goal of our fellowship is to promote spiritual growth through Bible study and Christian fellowship. The fellowship is open to all adults. Membership affiliation with the Chinese Baptist Church is not required.

The fellowship is scheduled on the fourth Saturday of every month (except December), from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm at homes of couples on voluntary basis.

We share a potluck dinner and follow with a time of sharing, praise singing and Bible study.

• Women's Ministry


The Bible Study of Beth Moore's "Loving Well" for March 21 has been rescheduled to March 28, 7 PM - 9 PM, in room 159 of the Education Bldg of Chinese Baptist Church.


This ministry is designed to serve women of all ages by empowering them to embrace themselves as uniquely created by God to function in specific roles in the home, church, and community. We encourage women to participate in bible study, fellowship, and mission related activities throughout the year. Women's Bible Study: Beth Moore's "Loving Well", a six-week follow-up study from the women's retreat to be held on Friday nights from Feb. 15 to Mar. 28, 7:30-9:30 pm in Room 238. Cost for materials is $6.00. For additional information, please contact Donna Wong.

We all deal with people who are a joy to love and those who are difficult to love. Come join us as we learn how to love well. Through video, we will hear from best-selling author and teacher Beth Moore. Enjoy fun and fellowship with other women, laugh our heads off and shed a few tears.
