English Sermon - May 24, 2015

1. Abraham raised Ishmael as his son, his only heir.
2. Sometimes we try to fulfill God's promises in our own way.
3. Ishmael represented Abraham trying to accomplish God's will in his own plan, his own resources, his own ability.
4. Abraham had to surrender his hopes that he had in Ishmael in order for Isaac to make his appearance.
