Join us for the CBC Churchwide Retreat from Friday evening, October 3 - Sunday afternoon, October 5, 2025 at Trinity Pines Conference Center. The conference is open for all congregations and age groups. It will be a great time of fun, fellowship, and activities for all ages. Activities include swimming (no lifeguards provided), hiking, miniature golf, sand volleyball, basketball, wagon ride, ropes course, zip line, paddle boats & kayaks, and catch & release fishing. The guest speaker will be Steve Tan, Senior Pastor at Emmanuel Chinese Church in Oakland Park, Kansas. More information and early registration will be coming soon.

Pastor Steve Tan grew up in Malaysia and came to faith in Christ at the age of 13. In the fall of 1991, he moved to Wichita, Kansas, to attend the state university there, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduating in 1998, he moved to Kansas City and found a job as a software engineer. At Emmanuel Chinese Baptist Church in Kansas City, he met his wife, Mandy Hu, and they were married in 2000.

In 2001, responding to the Lord’s call, he began studying part-time at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2006, he decided to become a full-time seminary student. Read more

陈牧师生长在马来西亚，十三岁时就信主了。 在1991年的秋天，他来到了堪州的威启达城就读那里的州立大学,在那里得到了机械工程学士学位和电子工程硕士学位。 1998年，毕业之后就搬来堪城找到了一份软件工程师的工作。 就在堪城的以马内利华人浸信会，他认识了师母，胡洁娟，在2000年结婚了。

从2001年开始，因着主的呼召，他去中西浸信神学院做半工读学生。 2006年，他决定成为全职的神学生。 更多閱讀
