The Governance AP Subteam will be conducting a townhall
meeting today at 1:15 pm in the FLC to present and discuss amending the Bylaws: proposed
Amendment #3 and #4 regarding Membership and the Church Council, respectively. Members
are invited to attend. Nursery and child care will be provided at designated areas
during the meeting. Babies to 1st grade will be in the Nursery and 2nd to Middle
Schoolers will be in Room 163. If you feel your child(ren) does not need this service,
please be sure to remind him/her not to disturb the Chinese School and the other
children who are staying in the Nursery/Childcare areas.
Rainbow Fellowship will be this Thursday, May 8 from
10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Rev. Franklin Lee will speak on "The Motherly Love of God."
Box lunches will be provided at $4 each.
Dr. Chuck Lawless will lead a training session for all
Sunday School teachers, helpers and anyone who is interested in teaching the Bible
on Saturday, May 10, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Library. Breakfast will be at 8:30 am.

a musical performance, I Witness News: Live From Jericho
on Saturday, May 10, 2:30-7:30 pm (also includes a fellowship dinner) and Sunday,
May 18 during the English Worship Service at 9:15 am.

Ministry Fair: Looking for a way to serve? Ever
wondered what opportunities there are at CBC? You're in luck! CBC will be holding
a Ministry Fair on Sunday, May 18 from 12:30-1:30 pm in the FLC. You'll have an
opportunity to talk to representatives of the many committees and ministries at CBC
to learn how to best utilize your gifts. Mark your calendar!

The FHLove Mandarin Fellowship will be hosting a Spring Outing
on Saturdsay, May 17 from 10:00 am-4:00 pm at Seawolf Park in Galveston. Activities include picnic,
group games, playground, fishing, and touring of the military fleet. Admission fee is $5 per vehicle.
The cost for members 13 and up is $4, children $2 and free for guests. Registration starts now
