Dan Ho

Pastor Dan was born in Hong Kong and came with his family to America in 1965. Number six in a family of seven, he quickly got lost in an immigrant environment where work and education were the most important things in life. In 1970, the Lord Jesus met him and he was saved. God called him to full time ministry in December 1976.

He attended Nyack College majoring in Religion; there, he met Barb. They were married in 1979. He attended the Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY. Pastor Dan and Barb began their ministry in Manhattan where they started an English-speaking congregation/church in the lower east side, ministering primarily to second generation Chinese. A few years later they began another church in Queens, NY, ministering to the multi-ethnic communities that make up the diverse population of New York City. There were more than 30 different nationalities represented in the church along with five different congregations. He pastored the church for more than 25 years.

In more than three decades of ministry, Pastor Dan and his wife Barb have been blessed to see many people give their hearts to the Lord. This is their passion: to reach the lost for Jesus Christ. The Great Commission given by the Lord in Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8 contains the whole purpose of their calling. That is what they want to do until the Lord returns or takes them home.

Justin Wong Youth Pastor (Email: justinw@cbchouston.org) Pastor Justin grew up attending and serving at Chinese Baptist Church all of his life. He has been equipping and training youth to love and follow Jesus since 2000. The Lord called him to pastoral ministry in 2003 and he was later licensed and ordained at First Chinese Baptist Church Atlanta, where he served as the English pastor intern. He later returned to CBC in 2008 where he took the position of youth pastor. He attended Houston Baptist University and received a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and Theology. He completed his Masters of Divinity in 2007 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS) in Fort Worth and is currently in the final stages of his Doctorate degree at SWBTS. He also holds a counseling certificate in youth ministry. In 2012, he married his best friend Tina, who currently serves besides him serving, counseling, and ministering to the youth and youth leaders. They have both enjoyed this journey the Lord has brought them on and continues to pray for depth and growth in this ministry.

C. Neil Scholwinski Office & Facility Coordinator (Email: neils@cbchouston.org) Neil was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He studied logistics and procurement at the University of Houston and has over 20 years of experience in service, sales and management. In 1997, Neil was baptized as a believer and in 2010 joined the CBC family.
