• Psalm 78:1-3: Call to Attention
  Perk up our ears and listen.
  We will not hide from our children the mighty works of God.



• Psalm 78:4-6: A Call to Action
  We will pass down decrees to all generations.
  How many generations will be impacted if we pass on the word of God?



• Psalm 78:7: A Call to Acceptance
  Remember deeds and keep commandments.



• Psalm 78:8: A Call to Avoidance
  When we teach, we will not see all the students that we will impact.
  Pray your teaching now will have a ripple effect on future generations.

     In "the fullness of time" Jesus Christ, the Messiah was born. This good news was revealed by God to shepherds in the fields of Bethlehem and was also made known to some magi from the east. These ancient wise men determined the exact time of this awesome event and journeyed to Jerusalem to celebrate the newborn King.

In this journey:

1. They eagerly sought the newborn King!
   1. They requested to see Him (v.2)
   2. They rejoiced to find Him (v.10)
   
   
2. They sincerely worshiped the newborn King!
   1. They bowed down before Him (v.11a)
   2. They offered Him the finest gifts (v.11b)
   
   
3. They amazingly served the newborn King!
   1. They protected His life (v.12)
   2. They tricked His enemy (v.16 cf. v.12)

     From this exposition, we learned that the magi from the east accomplished their mission by celebrating the newborn King in the land of Judah!

My challenge to you today is:

• What are you going to do with the newborn King after the Christmas?
• Are you willing to embark in the magi's journey and celebrate the King?
• Are you willing to seek Him with all your heart and give Him the best of yourself as a token of your worship this coming year?
